Darryl Novotny - Registered Physiotherapist & Owner of EOS Performance Institute, Inc.
Darryl graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1998 with a BSc in Kinesiology. During that time, he also completed his certification as a personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise (1997). Darryl then completed post-graduate training at the University of Toronto in 2002 with a degree in Physiotherapy.
During his career as a registered PT, Darryl has helped to build and develop clinics in Toronto, New Zealand, Windsor and Barrie. Continuing education courses in spinal assessment, treatment, manual therapy, myofascial release and business management have allowed him to experience ongoing success in the field of physiotherapy and practice management.
With years of experience in dealing with injuries of elite athletes and weekend warriors of all ages, Darryl can help you reach your peak performance.
Melissa D'Ambrosio - Registered Physiotherapist
After completing a Bachelors of Science in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph, Melissa went on to complete her Masters of Physiotherapy at Queen’s University. Melissa has a keen interest in both orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. Melissa has had the opportunity to work in a variety of private orthopaedic and rehabilitation settings, where she gained extensive experience. Melissa tailors her treatments to meet the goals of her clients and employs a mix of manual therapy, soft tissue release, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
Under the neurological rehabilitation umbrella, Melissa has experience treating clients with spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke and various neuromuscular disorders. Karla Leong - Athletic Therapist
Karla holds a degree in Kinesiology from York University and a Bachelor of Health Science (Athletic Therapy) from Sheridan College. She is certified through the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association and a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. She specializes in musculoskeletal injuries related to work, sport and recreational activities. She has worked with a wide range of clientele from recreational athletes to members of the Canadian Women’s Soccer team.
Her approach to therapy is to address the cause not just the symptoms since pain is just a signal of your impairment. She takes a whole body approach to treatment, as the human body works in a series of chains - everything is connected. With 17 years as a competitive athlete she understands the balance the delicate balance between mind and body as well and the necessity of functional movement tailored to a patient’s specific needs and goals – whether it is increased fitness, improved performance or the return to everyday activities, she can help you.
